Faculty Profile

A graduate of King Saud University in Riyadh Saudi Arabia Dr.Jamil ElFarra is a board-certified Obstetrician and gynecologist and  Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist at Norton Health Group in Louisville, Kentucky. He is also an Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty and Kaplan medical.  He has over 15 years of teaching experience and has helped hundreds of students successfully navigate and excel in the USMLE exam. He did his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Stamford Hospital/Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and King Fahad National Guard hospital. During that time Dr. Elfarra won several awards, including the Resident Teaching Award for three consecutive years, and the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine Excellence in Obstetrics Award.

He did his Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Elfarra also served as the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists District I Junior Fellow Secretary-Treasurer and Connecticut Junior Fellow chair.  He is the author of several book chapters including the Pregnancy-Related Stroke chapter in the 6th edition of critical care obstetrics book.  He also has multiple publications in well-respected Peer-reviewed Journals. Dr. Elfarra is also faculty Gratis at the University of Louisville.
